fit image to window, why LARGE only?

Post by borgia »

Greetings...

I have been having a problem with this setting, and I don't know if this is a program oversight, but... Apparently Xnview only fits LARGE images to the window/screen, but I would like it to fit ALL images to the window when going through pictures. The only way I have found to achieve this is to by pressing "/" on the numberpad every time an image comes on the screen. (Sadly there is no numberpad on the laptop) - If I LOCK the / in (by pressing Ctrl-/) it locks to the zoom of the current image, and all images are zoomed in, after that, not fit to the screen. There must be some way of doing this?

Maybe I am doing something wrong? So, I include, here, a small description of what I do, and how I have been overcoming this "problem":

I press "F11" to get the full page view, then use PageUp & PageDown to go manually between images... (I have tried all the View > Auto image size > "fit image to window" setting, but they only work for the FIRST image, then larger pictures are resized, but smaller ones are still small. (I have also "locked" the fit image to screen, but that super zooms some pictures) - I can MANUALLY achieve what I want by pressing "/" on the number pad after each photo is loaded, but this becomes tedious after a while, but that WILL fit the smaller images to the window, as well as the larger ones.

Is there a way to get ALL images to fit to screen?
Thanks.
