Cannot "Add Text" in Japanese

Post by decamelon »

Hello Sir & Madam,

I have been a user of XnView in Japanese. I think I have found a bug for the "Add Text" command.

I can type Japanese letters in a menu box for Add Text command and the letters are still in Japanese while the pointer is hovering over a scanned document. However, once I click and confirm the letters and the location, it changes into funny characters. This happens same in both English and Japanese version.

Does someone help me out to be able to annotate in Japanese?

I appreciate your kind help.

P.S. I have the jpegs to show this, but I don't know how to upload the images on this board...

Hello Pierre,

Thank you for your quick reply. I am on XP and still have the same problem. And XnView's version is 1.97, the newest.

I have send some screen captures to illustrate this to you via email. Sorry, I don't know how to post images on this board. Please post them instead of me if you think they would help others on the board.

I appreciate your kind cooperation.
