I seem to have a lot of the thumbnails that show the wrong image.......(1.97.2)
Example, I click on an Image that is in color but the file name is for the B&W version....I now try view and refresh and nothing changes....so I now try View and Rebuild again no change..... my only solution seems to open into browser and re-save with loss of detail.....
Often it is with a series of pictures with an unrelated series of images.....the preview and browser images do match the file names....
It would seem that the cache (where-ever it is) would be erased and rebuilt.....does not seem to happen.....this is not just on the current version or on my Win 7 operating system......it also occurred on older versions and Win XP.....
What to do now.....what am I missing.......

So I checked and I had Embedded Thumbnails Checked..........Unchecked it and the from the Menu checked Rebuild Thumbnails.....voila and now they did rebuild and correct the problems in that directory...........
It would be nice to understand what Embedded thumbnails means and does......for now leaving it unchecked......
It would seem that I must now click rebuild thumbnails in most directories.....

Re: Thumbnails - Wrong Picture
Select the image(s) in Browser mode and go to Edit » Metadata » Recreate EXIF thumbnail.
Re: Thumbnails - Wrong Picture
Embedded thumbnails are miniatures contained in the image file itself.willgoss wrote: It would be nice to understand what Embedded thumbnails means and does......for now leaving it unchecked......
