Show Full Path in Window Title

Is there an option to show the entire file path in the window title? If not, I would like to request it as a feature.

• A long while ago, that point was discussed a lot… I proposed several options as INI entries…
You would get a clue by using the Search (among my messages, for instance )

• Anyway, it's good to hammer that nail again, so I support, of course !

Thanks XnTriq. That works when viewing a single file. How do you change it for thumbnails? It shows "XnView - [Browser - C:\...\]". I want to at least see the directory, and preferably the directory and filename, if a file is selected.

Just to make sure I've got it right:

• If a thumbnail is selected in XnView's browser mode, that particular file's full path (directory + filename + file extension) should be displayed in the title bar.

Yes. Display the entire path including name and extension if a file is selected, otherwise display the directory. Currently we only see the drive letter.

Hmm, the file name can be seen in the statusbar and in the tooltip. And if configured one can see the filename underneath each single thumbnail. I wonder what the advantage of displaying the filename in the titlebar is?

Currently, I'd considered the filename in the titlebar even to be wrong when in browser mode, because the browser displays thumbnails in a specific folder, not a specific thumbnail.

Competing products show the filename in the title when browsing so I don't think it's wrong. But I think it's OK to show just the directory. That's still bettter than "C:\...\".

O.k., so your point is displaying the full path without any "..", e.g. "C:\My Images\Animals\Big\Colourful" and not "C:\..\..".
