MP 0.26.1 Win: Renaming files with extension removal/change

Post by budz45 »

hi,

When I rename a file in a folder of the Browser AND I remove it's extension

1. There is No change in the filetype icon when I rename a file by removing it's extension. Take a look at this explorer/XnMP browser comparison just after the same rename:
Image
So the Browser should, naturally, acquire the same filetype icon as in Explorer. Please fix.

2. Same thing, if I extension rename a .jpg file to new extension of .zip then the filtype icon would not change to the zip filetype icon of Explorer, but would instead just remain the same filetype icon. please fix

This is a feature (or lack of) too and not a bug. I apologize.

Fixed in MP 0.38.8 :P

THANK YOU :D :D

....And now even if extension is removed from image e.g. '.png' the extension-less file is perfectly still responsive and readable in both the Browser and the Viewer. Thank you Pierre.
