VTF support
Hi!
Would be great, if support for the VTF (Valve Texture Format) could be added.
Info: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... ure_Format
There also exists an Open Source library:

Re: VTF support
I've uploaded a bunch of many different examples:

They are part of a free game demo.

Re: VTF support
I don't want to annoy anybody, but how likely is it now, that support for this format will be added and for which version would it be scheduled?
Don't get me wrong, I just really would like to see this added. But of course I have patience and understanding, if there are planned features with a higher priority. I just wanna make sure, that my request will not be forgotten.
I hope that the examples are useful by the way!

Re: VTF support
Hi,
It's done:
...See here: V1.97-3 : Added: VTF format load support (Plugin) :
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=19937
http://www.xnview.com/en/downloadwin32.html
FI: I have tried and that works for me (with your VTF samples) with the XnView 1.97-3 Windows version + Plugin (under Linux + Wine)
The WTF format seems to work too (I have not tested):
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 931#p83931
...But need to be added here:
http://www.xnview.com/en/formats.html

Re: VTF support
Thank you for the info!
I can't believe, that I missed it.
But it's great news.
Thank you very much, Pierre for implementing it!
But I've noticed two issues:
1. I don't have thumbnails in the Windows Explorer. Could you please extend the shell extension too, please?
2. Some textures are displayed incorrectly (some color parts of the images are missing).
I've uploaded an example.
Strangely, in the exports options of XNView, the file is displayed correctly and if I export/save the file as jpeg or something else, everything is fine and nothing lost. It seems, that only the main XNView display window can't handle it correctly.

Thank you again!
OK, last but not least the shell extension to have thumbnails in the Windows Explorer.

Re: VTF support
Is it likely, that VTF thumbnail support for the Windows Explorer will be added?
