thumbnail alphas and rebuilding thumbnails.

Post by beddall »

hey,

Great program by the way , love it. I just have a couple of questions.

1. is it possible to NOT show the alpha channel in the thumbnail? i can get Xnview to NOT show the alpha in the preview window, but thumbnails I cannot.

2.is it possible to auto rebuild thumbnails? there was an option to have it on but it appears to be broken or something. If I add files to a folder then I have to rebuild the thumbnail for the files to show up in the folder thumbnail.

hope someone can help.

cheers

You must rebuild thumbnails

You means that new files are not showed in XnView?

hey,

even with rebuilding thumbnails, the alpha channel is still visible in the thumbnail :(
the ignore alpha channel option is checked.

The files are there, but they do not appear in the folder thumbnail. I have to manually rebuild thumbnails. Having to click 'rebuild thumbnails' every time I move some files is becoming a bit of a chore I'm afraid. Is there no way for Xnview to rebuild thumbnails when files are changed?

it's by default. "they do not appear", you means that there is no thumbnail?

there is a thumbnail of a folder icon, but there is no thumbnail of the pictures within the folder. you know, how it displays the 4 little picture icons within the folder icon. That doesn't update unless i press rebuild thumbnails.
