Hello
Other than browsing images, I primarily have been using XnView to do lossless crops and rotations on images. What would be amazing is if the preview window (which shows the selected image) could have the crop box drawn on it (like in full view) - and then access given to the commands in full view, such as crop. Or, just access to a customizable list of buttons to display in the preview window.
Right now, the preview display only shows the 'move hand', even though the image is set to fit - so no moving can even be done.
Right now, its a pain to go over images to crop, select on to view, crop, then close, then repeat. In the preview window, this would be as simple as selecting, cropping, and selecting another image. It completely avoids the need to load the image in a new window, and close the window.
Great software, and I hope you consider my recomendation!
Thanks!

It's a preview, so the window is small, not easy to make a crop

Re: Preview Window - Allow Selection & Cropping
Hi Pierre
I agree with the selection part of this request! My screen is big monitor (very common these days, everyone has them here), so the preview is nearly as big as full view.
The ability to draw a selection on the preview (using mouse + modifier key) and copy it to the clipboard would be a very big convenience.
A "Copy + resize to clipboard" function (in one step) would also be useful. An INI setting for the user to specify default dimensions (for the resized selection, before placing it on the clipboard) would be needed.
Currently we have: Edit->Copy
A new (additional) menu item would be: Edit->Copy and resize
As always, thanks for listening!

Re: Preview Window - Allow Selection & Cropping
See, I dont seek the most accurate cropping. If I did, I would want buttons to nudge the selections height width and location, even in full screen mode. Instead, I use the cropping to quickly trim down excess off images. I do graphic design, and I find influence in many parts of many images. So again, the accuracy is not really a issue for me as much as the issue of streamlining the cropping process. I see it much the same as the other user who would like selection and clipboard functionality.
I understand that most people might prefer to do this in full screen, but even then, they are likely zoomed out and not seeing at full size.
I also have 2 monitors, and I would personally have the preview detached (if possible) on the second monitor, and the main xnview on the other.
So again, full screen cropping works great for family photos and accuracy, but for quick 'idea cropping' I think the preview area would be a great area.
