Is it possible to place text using x,y coordinates?

If I have some text and I want it to start appearing 435 pixels from the top of an image and 238 pixels from the left side of the image, can i insert that text using nconvert?

Can I specify an area where text should appear, and then have the text appear centered in that area? I will not know, ahead of time, what text is appearing, so I need for it to automatically center itself.
