I have a 2619x3742 .dds image generated with nvidia-texture-tools 2.0.7 that crashes XnView 1.97.5 (and 1.97.4) and XnShellEx64 2.9.0 (and 2.8.0). Another 2592x1944 image, and many other large images I have do not cause any issue. If you really need the image for debugging, I will speak to my boss about it.
Also DDS files generated from either 24bit or 32bit source material all report as a 32bit DDS file. I dont know if that is actually an error or not.
