3D-Files .jps and .mpo

Post by hubert »

Hello again, one of my hobbies is 3D-Photography. The common Format is .JPS (it is a wide picture, the two frames are side by side, right picture -left picture, stored as .jpg and renamed as .jps. There is an excellent programm to view the files (Stereo Photo Maker). Xnview can display the files, but not in 3D.

Another file type is .mpo (Multi Picture format), which is used by Fuji w1 and other cameras, Xnview can show the first picture in the container, but i can't choose the other pictures from the file.

I think, 3D is coming were soon to many products, it seems, the 3D-Sweep-Panoramas, which the Sony Nex will produce, are stored as .MPO too.

Thanks a lot for xnview ...

I'm bumping this because we now know that the Nintendo 3DS will be using MPO as its 3D image format.

Also XnView supports JPS perfectly fine, you just have to manually associate the the extension with the program through your OS.
