Hi,
I am opening a multipage Tiff image with mixed black and white and colour pages. When opening the image I get a message saying 'the colour mode will convert to RGB' (or something along those lines). When i save the file out after rotating pages etc, the file size increases drastically (due to the RGB mode i'm guessing). E.g. file size goes from 7MB to 55MB. Is there any way to maintain the YCbCr colour mode or have an option in the save as dialog to select the colour mode?
Thanks in advance,
TMT
P.S. Overall I am very impressed with this software and the support - please keep up the great work!!

Re: TIFF Color/colour Compression
Do you have change compression mode in option/Write/TIFF?
No sorry but there is no way to keep YCbCr color mode...

Re: TIFF Color/colour Compression
Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.
Yes i have changed the compression mode to JPEG in the options, however the file size still goes up to 55MB. If you use the file browser and look at the color mode section in the properties view, you can see that the color mode has changed from YCbCr to RGB. If I then just open and save the file in an alternative image editing program, the file size goes back down to the original 7MB as the colour mode is reverted back to YCbCr.
It would be a great improvement if the original colour mode could be maintained or if there was an option to convert back to YCbCr due to this file size problem?...
