An overview tab fixed on same level as the productive ones. Containing a screenful of huge buttons to mimic some common menu selections.xnview wrote:A permanent toolbar? Could you explain me moremarsh wrote:With tabs atop, I think a permanent one would be convenient: [Logo] [Browser] [Viewer]

Re: Menu/Tab/Toolbar
The new Opera 10.6 has an interesting approach to tabs.
There is a splitter bar just beneath the tab strip. Dragging the splitter bar exposes expanding previews of the tab contents. This works great and would be a nice addition to XnView MP.

Re: Menu/Tab/Toolbar
Opera 11 beta has the best implementation of tabs I have encountered so far.
In addition to the sizing feature mentioned above, now it is possible to group tabs and expand/collapse the group at will. The behavior is very smooth and intuitive.
I expect developers to copy it immediately.
