Trying to convert my .MOV movies to images, I found by reading the forum that the movie must be in AVI format. So I got my movies into AVI format, and now can use the "Extract Movie Frames" option on the "Tools" menu. The AVI file plays just fine in XnView, and the convert screen shows how many frames are in the movie. When I run the process, everything appears to work properly--i.e., the process begins at the right point, and creates the specified number of still images (PNGs in my case).
Good!
However, ALL of the images created are the SAME image, which I believe is the first frame of the sequence. I think this is probably not a widely-used feature, so it may be possible that a bug developed here and was not noticed.
Any ideas or comments, XnViewers?
Thanks.

Re: AVI Movie Conversion
Hello Pierre--
Yes, the same thing happens on the four different movies that I have tried. They all originated at .MOV files from a iPhone, if that makes any difference. The movies are very short, 2 to 5 seconds, and the number of frames seems to be between 60 and 150.

Re: AVI Movie Conversion
Pierre, it seems I was mis-reading the results. I had very short movies without enough movement, so it looked like the frame did not change. But it did, and XnView works fine. Thank you!
