plug/addons

What do they do? Eg I have PhotoMasque. I don't know where it is in xnview.
Or the paint plugin?
Is it in the ctrl-u script list?
I want to be able to batch add frames etc.

Plugins provide viewable (and writable) formats. Addons provide features.
Addons are found (assuming they have been installed correctly) at:
Viewer menu>Filter>___
Browser menu>Tools>Plugin>___
