When updateing/adding GPS meta data the tags GPSLongitudeRef and GPSLatitudeRef are not written. Sinve the GPSLatitude and GPSLongitude are interpreted as unsigned by exiftool (the EXIT spec is a bit unclear about this) values will alway be written as in N/E. Only whyle typing the correct REF values will be shown in the GUI whenh entering negative values.
XnView should/must therefore set the correct REF values and use non-negative values for Longitude/Latitude.
When using exitftool manually to add the REF values the result will be shown correctly in the GPS meta data edit dialog ;o)
Same appklies to GPSAltitudeRef.
Using: XnView 1.97.6 with exiftool 8.25 (same with 8.24)
