I've ARW files form a Sony A200.
XNView is showing them without any problem. but when I've used the image converter from Sony to optimize the pictures. then in the thumb I see the corrected image. and in the preview the original image.
It is like Bridge from adobe but bridge generates a separate XMP file. and the converter puts the additional data in the ARW file.
How can I switch from the original to the optimized?

Re: Problem preview not he same as thumb
Maybe one of these will produce expected result(?):
Options... Browser>Preview>Camera Raw [Embedded Thumbnail] (vs. 'Full size')
Browser menu... View>Rebuild thumbnails.
Browser menu... View>Refresh
Options... View>{Misc}>Camera Raw [Embedded Thumbnail]
Options... Browser>Preview>Camera Raw [Embedded Thumbnail] (vs. 'Full size')
Browser menu... View>Rebuild thumbnails.
Browser menu... View>Refresh
Options... View>{Misc}>Camera Raw [Embedded Thumbnail]

Re: Problem preview not he same as thumb
Batch conversion run without errors. But the converted images are like the original image not like the modified that I can now see in the thumbnails and in the preview
Re: Problem preview not he same as thumb
This setting governs conversion (if memory serves):
Options... General>Read/Write>{Read}>Camera RAW [ ]High Resolution
Else, one would be converting from the full original image, and not the embedded preview.

Re: Problem preview not he same as thumb
was not the solution. It doesn't mather if High Resolution was marked or not.marsh wrote:Options... General>Read/Write>{Read}>Camera RAW [ ]High Resolution
the solution for the batch conversion was:
Options... General>Read/Write>{Read}>Camera RAW [ ]Use camera white balance
(it was default marked)
thanks for the support
