crash program on the "next" keystroke

sorry, this is the first in my life bug-report and my brocken english...

When you press the "Next file" (if very quickly clicked on the right and left mouse button) is a crash program or the program hangs).
the same thing when you press any of the icons in Tool Bar of XnView 1.97.8 ("Previous file", "Flip Vertical" etc )
I understand that this seems to be and should not be provided by developers))))
