Hello,
First, thank you for releasing a new Linux version of XNView.
I have been testing XNView MP beta 0.32 under Gnome.
The applications seems to use Qt, which is nice.
However, I have experienced two problems :
[*]No matter what I do, when I start the app, it has the Qt4/Windows theme. If I select another style in the View menu, it behaves properly, but still, no style is ticked in the menu, and restarting XNView reverts back to the ugly Qt4/Windows style.
[*]There is no GTK+ style available in the menu, however on my system, every Qt/KDE app has the GTK+ look.
Have I done something wrong ?
Thanks,

Re: 0.32 Linux : Application runs with Windows theme
Hello Pierre,
I'm on Ubuntu 10.10, which was upgraded from a 10.04.
It has Qt4 and Qt3 compatibility libs.
The Qt4 settings app works nice with no problem with KDE apps, except for XNView.
What should I expect from the app ?
When I click « Plastique », should that menu entry have a tick next to it ?

I use own built QT libraries, so we can have some little difference...artscoop wrote: I'm on Ubuntu 10.10, which was upgraded from a 10.04.

Could you post a screenshot with QT app & XnView?
No, this menu is a test. I don't know yet if we must kept it...When I click « Plastique », should that menu entry have a tick next to it ?

Hi,
Update for the issue :
- I have managed to have the Cleanlooks look and feel by default.
So at this very moment I can only have Cleanlooks and Windows themes in XNView.
To have Cleanlooks in XNView :
- I run the Qt4 Settings program, and choose « Desktop Settings » as the default GUI Style.
However, I'm quite sure the Desktop Settings do not tell other Qt apps to use Cleanlooks.
Every other choice in the Qt4 Settings works as expected in every Qt app (I've just tested Kate under Gnome, with settings set to QtCurve, GTK+ and CDE, it works perfectly) but XNView.
A screen of the app run with the Qt4 theme set to the current GTK+ theme, which is nothing near a Win98 theme:
