Thumbnail and Details view not Global

I use the Thumbnail view for folders that have video files, so that I can quickly select those I want to view.
For all other folders I use Details view.
Unfortunately, the setting of View is Global (affecting all folders)!

It would be very convenient if the setting was not global, at least for Thumbnail view.
Any chance of doing that?

Including thumbnail size!!!
