Any way to refresh or re-read the files so changes made in other programs would show up?
When I rate or label a file it will show up in Lightroom. If I edit in Lightroom it will not be seen in xnview.
Only way to do that now is to go in cacheDB and delete thumbnails. (on mac is fast but on winXP I can go have lunch and it still would not be done)
Would be good to add something to click on and have it scan selected files or whole directory with sub-directories for changes.
thanks for a great program

Yes right, if the filedate & filesize are not changed...
So something like 'Synchronise file with DB'?

That could work.
Thanks Pierre.
Thanks Pierre.

Yes, that would be perfect...
...plus an indicator on the thumb that the two are "out of sync", if possible.
Perhaps MP needs a "broken" icon for each of the data stores (XMP, IPTC, etc).
Since examining the metadata stores would be slow when there are many files, perhaps the user could invoke a "scan for data synchronization issues" when desired, with an INI setting to perform that automatically.
Just a thought! Are there any situations where such functionality would be useful, or is it "overkill"?
