My tabbed text editor has 'Reload open files at startup', maybe useful for image viewer.

I don't know if this feature is useful....marsh wrote:My tabbed text editor has 'Reload open files at startup', maybe useful for image viewer.
Pierre.
This might be useful for those who think that browser stinks and don't want to use it.
To me this would be totally useless feature, but for those who don't use browser...

Re: Reload open files at startup
Digging up this old fossil of a topic. Well, I don't know how common it is for users to look at multiple tabs in the first place. Though this could be a quick means to resume such a session. Avoiding the browser is indeed the thought behind it. Not because there is anything wrong with it, but that I'm curious about what can be done where the content is, rather than switching to another mode.
A more recent topic to consider:
- Save/Open Picture Set?

Re: Reload open files at startup
I support this idea. It would be an XnView "project", consisting of image tabs plus the browser.
Perhaps the list of open tabs could be saved in an "xnp" file...

Re: Reload open files at startup
My editor stores open items automatically in ini at shutdown, and never in a project file unless that is chosen in menu. A good distinction is made between temporary and permanent. And someone would not need to be familiar with the greater function in order to use the smaller one.JohnFredC wrote:I support this idea. Xnp file? I imagine that as an interesting means of transfering a list of files from one program to another.
