Scanning multipages to pdf is not creating one single pdf

When I scan say 3 pages , I usually want one single pdf document with 3 pages
What I get is 3 different pdf pages ! this is highly annoying Any solution ?

XnView cannot scan directly to multipage PDF. Use TIFF instead. Afterwards, create a multipage PDF using that TIFF as source. Make sure to tick the box to include all images from multipage source file.

Do you have checked 'Save as multipage'?
