changing folder name and moving picture folder

hi,
I am writing with the following questions:

- I started testing Xnview and named a picture folder wrong. After changing the name I noticed that the
categories and quality markers were gone. Is there a way to change the folder name and not losing those information.

- the same queation occurs to the whole picture directory. At the moment the directory is placed on my notebook,
but later I have to move it to an external HD which will be attached to a server. (I am preparing the pictures at home).
Will this be possible without losing all database/directory orientated information.

You have changed it in XnView?

If the path change, all DB entries must be changed...

I didn`t changed the name in XNview.
Does it mean, changing directory names in Xnview will be recognized.

The path change of the picture directory will need a rebuild of the DB entries (i.e catagories, quality level)?

Hi,

ratings and category entries are preserved when moving single files with Xnview. However, if I move or rename a whole folder with Xnview, the database information is not updated! The ratings and category entries are lost and the thumbnails will be regenerated. I use the latest version (1.97.8 de).
