Hi,
as I am beginning with XnView I am creating a new category tree. This tree will definitely change in the beginning. The only way to move a category to a different place I found is to delete it and create it new at the new place. I don't dare to imagine what a bunch of work that means when that category has already a lot of pictures assigned to.
So what I am looking for is an option to move categories in the tree by drag&drop and take the assigned pictures with it.

Re: Change category tree by drag&drop
Hi,
just dug this old threat out of the archive.
I have two similar questions.
Working with the last version of Xnview (1.99.5), I assort all my pictures in categories at the moment.
But I do not find a way to shift i. e. a subcategory (with its assigned pictures) from one (main) category to another (main) category. Is there any solution for this matter which I have probably overlooked?
The second issue I have is, when choosing two or more categories at the same time XNView is displaying all picture which at least fit to one (of the two or more) categories and not the one which fit to all selected categories. It is somehow the difference between AND respectively OR search. Is there any way to let XNview category displaying work the second way?
Probably I only failed to manage XNView the right way or It really does not work the way I hoped in this particular regard.
In every case I want to state that XNView is a extraordinary good program for being freeware
I would be very pleased about a response.
Sorry for my sometime incorrect English.
