RC3: Viewing from Browser doesn't work

Post by Hacker »

Not sure what I did wrong (= changed in the options) but suddenly when I press Enter (or double-click) on a picture in the Browser it isn't displayed. It almost seems as if the view window was created but totally transparent because:
a) I can't click anywhere
b) when I press Esc or Enter the Browser repaints and I can navigate and click again
c) I have a message notification plugin in Miranda that activates the Scroll lock LED when there is a fullscreen window in foreground and I have an incoming message. Scroll lock gets activated when I press Enter in the Browser and get a message on ICQ, so there has to be some fullscreen window I assume

The same "lockup" happens when I have General - Startup - Start View in fullscreen activated and start XnView. Browser displays but canot be used until I press Esc or Enter.

When I disable "Dbl click or Enter to view in fullscreen" then the picture is loaded, but not in fullscreen, obviously.

BTW: What is the "Start view in fullscreen" option for?

Roman

Yes this Lite fullscreen mode is confusing...

I get the blank fullscreen, but only at xnview start.

Backup your current xnview.ini file, and ask Pierre if that file could help him to fix your problem.

It's a special mode, I guess for faster xnview start with limited features.

See my new post here for more.

Start "Standard fullscreen" from Viewer (with MMB or F11) and check the context menu  .

xnview,
Do you have option/browser/Dbl click to go to fullscreen?
Yes and no. When activated I can't see the picture, it seems like a transparent fullscreen window. When deactivated the view doesn't open in fullscreen. For more info please read the first post of this thread.

No.

In case you need more immediate contact, you're more than welcome to contact me on ICQ.

I discovered that it doesn't work when preview isn't displayed. When preview is displayed, everything works fine.

Fixed but a new bug has appeared:

1. check "double-click or Enter to view in fullscreen"
2. hide the Preview pannel (ctrl+shift+p)
3. double-click a thumbnail
4. go back to browser and double-click another thumbnail

Result: the first image appears then is quickly replaced with the second one, and it needs 2 double-clicks to get back to the browser

Expected result: the second image appears in the viewer, one double-click brings back the browser.

anyone else is seeing this?
