I whish to use iPad and XnView in the following fashion:
my iPad/iPhone, on its docking station (charging) accessing remotely (via WiFi) my PC (or iMac) on which sits my photo library.
On the PC/Mac, XnView runs in "server mode" responding to two types of requests:
1/ interactive browsing
one special command allows download of a picture to be downloaded on the iPhone/iPad
2/ diaporama
in this mode, the XnView server sends pictures to the iPhone/iPad according to the diaporama setting
Motivation:
The total of my photo library cannot sit on the iPhone/iPad (only fractions can be downloaded for travel).
I want to be able to view pictures without downloading.

Re: iPad application
Well maybe in future XnView MP could be ported to IOS (Iphone and Ipad) providing that the platfom supports QT. Also there would be the conflciting difference between Objective C (Apple IOS) and C++..... I don't know I'm just guessing
