slide show as screen saver

HI, this is my first post on this forum, hope it's a good start!

I've tried to found answers here and there on this forum, but without success, my questions are:

1) images and movies works fine with slide show as .sld, but when I save slideshow in .exe or .scr format only images are displayed, movies are skipped.
2) power point presentations (pps or ppt) work in view mode, but not in slide show (a popup window says "don't know how to open them"), and .exe or .scr (they are simply skipped)
3) it would be fine to come out from screen saver on every action on keyboard or mouse (as standard behaviour of other screen savers), at the moment only double click or escape are working and I have not found any way to change it.

As from my questions, I should like to use xnview not only to work with images but mainly to generate screensavers with images, movies and powerpoint presentations integrated inside (also other formats are welcome), to build low cost digital signage systems (of course paying xnview licences as required)

Help on this would be greatly appreciated, if it's not possible to get from xnview what I need, any suggestion about other programs to do that would be appreciated as well (but I guess that xnview is so near to this job).
