How to rid of the browser mode?

Post by hestejue »

I don't need the browser mode at all but only need XnView for viewing single or pictures preselected with another tool (so I can feed the pictures into XnView via command line). Is there any way to start XnView without browser mode? The reading of arbitrary pictures on startup is annoying. When just trying to copy a screenshot into XnView I would like to have an empty window only where I can paste with Ctrl+V into, then save it to a file. Currently I have to wait a minute or two until XnView has finished it's reading of dozens of files to show them in a preview (which I don't want). I can start the browser mode with -browser (although this seems to be useless command line option because it's the standard anyway) but I cannot omit it. Is it possible somehow?

Thanks a lot! I did not expect a simple option like this in the settings. ;-)

Now XnView is nearly perfect for me. The only remaining issue is to be able to use the standard zoom/pan keys from within slideshow mode after feeding multiple picture into XnView. But this seems to be hard to code...
