Compression info (new WebP, partially old problem)

Post by DOS386 »

Code: Select all

-info
1. For WebP (plugin), the output is "Uncompressed", this is definitely wrong, should be "Lossy: VP8/WebP"

2. For PNG, it says "ZIP", this is not very good, better answer: "Lossless: Deflate+Filters"

3. For JPEG-2000 (plugin), it says "Wavelet" ... correct, but would be nice to know whether it's lossless or lossy (JPEG-2000 has both ???)

4. For JPG, the answer is "JPEG" ... good, it just would be cool to see "Lossy" too and know whether it's the "progressive" flavor or not
There is indeed no WinZIP under my rock.
