RC2&3 BUG: Mouse doesn't work with videos

Post by Dreamer »

Mouse doesn't work with videos (LMB doulbe click, MMB, RMB context menu)

It's an old (known) bug, but it works sometimes now:
- In viewer, if I click to a white space only, not video - LMB double click works only
- In fullscreen, also if I click to a white space only - LMB double click and MMB works (but in standard fullscreen only)

Also, could you change white background for videos please? Add the same background as for images or custom.

Yes, i can confirm this. Mouse navigation of video files doesn't work the same way as with image files. It should be consistent though.

And yes, it's kinda strange that you cannot change the white default background since you can do it for pictures.

The internal player in XnView is limited and always will be which is why the "Use external player" option was added. Besides who wants to watch a video and then move on to another half-way through?

I have raised this issue before and now I that I have use of an external player I simply don't care :)

Danny, calm down I just didn't want you making a big deal over this.
Right now XnView has much bigger problems then this.

ckit's extra note was not very helpful, but sometimes it's a bit frustrating when you ask for things and wait for months. All in all: Please be cool, boys. ;-)

I just saw that Pierre has tried to fix it in 1.80, some mouse buttons work already, so it would be maybe not so hard to fix also other "mouse problems".

If it's possible to change white background colour it would be nice to do it, but if not, there are really "much bigger problems then this" in xnview.

I have some problems with mouse when you are on the video preview.
But i'll add double click in white space. And same background as images.

Thanks.
To both - standard and lite fullscreen please.
And what about the context menu (RMB), could you also add it "in white space"?

Yes but context menu is only in lite fullscreen...

So currently, in RC2 still doesn't work :

In Preview (in Browser) and in Fullscreen lite:
- dbl-click
- MMB

In Viewer:
- MMB
- RMB - context menu

In Fullscreen standard:
- RMB - context menu

All other mouse buttons works good.

In RC3 still doesn't work :

In Preview (in Browser) and in Fullscreen lite:
- dbl-click (works in RC3 but if option "Dbl click or enter to view in fullscreen" is disabled it is still opened in fullscreen)
- MMB

In Viewer:
- MMB
- RMB - context menu

In Fullscreen standard:
- RMB - context menu
