.psd files

Post by UriF »

I found out from feature list that XnView 1.98 open .psd (Adobe Photoshop) but it does not work. Irfanview, QuickTime & FastStone open these file without problems. What plug-in/add-on could I install?
P.S. Operation System - WinXP SP3

Color .psd return following message: "The image contains multiple pages. Please use "Previous Page" and "Next Page" to navigate between the pages." I after I press OK I could see the image

Black & white images return following error "error reading the file <filename.psd>". That's it

Now I found out that some colored .psd files in XnView 1.98.5 browser are visible as a white spot (the same white rectangular when I try to open them). By the way when I try to convert to .jpg or .png I could see a converted image. I tried to resve these .psd files using Gimp. It is interesting th after re-save in Gimp 2.4 I could see a preview in browser and viewer but when I upgraded to Gimp 2.6 and re-saved I saw the same white rectangular. ACDSEE, IrfanView, and FastStone opene these files without problems...

P.S. I used Gimp when I could a following message "The layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image". Gimp has solved this problem (just open open such file a and Save as .psd with other name)
