Hi,
Maybe this following request would look untidy.
I actually like the Settings window the way it currently is; clean uniformed layout
However I think in a future MP version, considerations could be made for text captions in the "Settings" window instead of methods such as this separate Info window http://i56.tinypic.com/2d8f2fs.jpg
I'm thinking if we could have important Info such as 'restart XnView for changes' as text Info captions on the bottom.
So look at these two examples I made:
I used a similar Orange coloured text. I thought of orange because it fits in with the default native theme, fits with XnView MP's program icon and furthermore would show up well as a color on darker XnViewMP themes too..
..Is this a good feature to have for future XnView MP "Settings" window? Any feedback welcome

Yes. Support++.
Perhaps some sort of symbol would also display in the main UI to indicate that changes to the options are pending a reboot... similar to how the asterisk "*" in a view tab indicates that changes to an image haven't been saved yet.

Re: Request: Info captions for the 'Settings' window
Thanks guys,
EDIT-
Ok, for that comment you made John, I have created this mock-up, below, that uses the same 'Show Infomation' window that displays a 'restart' message on the bottom of viewer interface;
As I have said, it is the same overlay window display as the 'Show Infomation' just smaller and it would display over the same viewer area, look at it again:

Re: Request: Info captions for the 'Settings' window
My other aim for starting this topic is because I feel that XnView MP needs to give better clarification to the user on the Shortcuts (Settings>Interface>shortcuts) that might conflcit with each other if using same hotkey in two places.
....So I mean that currently I can use a shortcut like 'Ctrl+Space' for two separate commands within the View mode in the Shortcut editor that do not directly conflict with each other e.g. 'Icon snapshot on/off' and 'Start/stop animation' separate commands. Now this is good and I really like that we have the curren ability to do this (they don't conflict with each other). However, what about if in another case I was to assign the same single hotkey towards two or more commands in the Shortcut editor that do indeed in this instance conflict with each other --- so then in this same instance some kind of display warning notice or simply a block is needed here, right? Such as like required a warning message; http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=23301

Perhaps MP should declare the short-cut "in use", say which one it is, and offer to replace the existing/conflicting definition. That would be a more productive behavior than just saying "no" and leaving it up to the user to research/solve the issue.
