These below photo's are from this site:

They were, as the site says, taken with a Pentax K1000 camera with "400 speed film".
To be honest I've always liked this effect on photo's and I used to just attribute it to calling it '35mm effect'.
It would be nice to use this effect within XnView products, if it would be possible. Perhaps it's not possible as an imaging after effect and maybe an effect that would have to be applied by the original camera.
Any comments on this would be appreciated.

Oh so it's named Lomograpghy or
35 mm LOMO LC-A
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomography
Well I thought that it might make a nice filter for xnview, xnviewMP and xnconvert but maybe the processing to create this would be too much for xnview family and better left to image editors like photoshop and gimp.

budz45, have you played with
I mage »

Old camera... in XnViewMP?
I believe it can be broken down to these steps:
Cut the photo down to square dimensions.
“Bleach” the colors.
Apply a black vignette.
Add a Polaroid-style frame.
Would this effect meet your requirements, if step #1 + #4 were also made optional (like
Sepia &
Shadow )?

Xero Nostalgia is another Photoshop filter which lets you apply a retro look to photos and is compatible with XnView.
