Resize Thumbnail does not work in huge sizes

Hallo, I want to show the thumbnails in huge size, but I get only some small one. The pictures are jpg. Only in a few times I get bigger pictures.
How can I change the size if 384/288 does not work correct?

Do you have "Use Embedded thumbnail" enabled in the thumbnails options?

If yes, disable it or also select "Create thumbnail from original image if embedded is smaller than thumbnail size"
