This morning I've been scanning and editing photos. Xnview 1.98.5 crashed on me in both sessions after about 20 minutes of work. Both times I had maybe half a dozen small scanned pictures open.
Symptoms: I open ea levels window and begin adjusting. In the background window there's a brief flash of white. I close the dialog and everything seems okay with current pic, but if I tab to any other pic it no longer displays them, and further clicking soon results in a program lockup, requiring a hard kill.
OS: Windows 7 64bit SP1
mem: 8 gigs memory
cpu: quad core Athlon II X4 640.

Re: Repeated crashes when scanning, editing
Just happened again.
I believe it's triggered when I manipulate a photo's levels (L).

Screenshot just after I started adjusting the levels and the background turned white (normally grey)

Clicking on the next image tab along, you can see the image content is now corrupt. All tabs like this.

Re: Repeated crashes when scanning, editing
I did another long session of editing yesterday. No repeat of the crash. That makes me wonder if the crash had something to do with using the Enhance Focus filter. I used that effect frequently during my editing session where xnview kept crashing in the same way. During my session yesterday I didn't use it at all and xnview never crashed. So that could be it.
