I guess you (Karl02) have to be more specific what is fast and smooth:
Is it displaying/zooming an image, displaying thumbnails, start-up, or ...?

Every now and then there's people posting "Program <x> is faster" and I often have the feeling that...
...it's not really clear what they mean with "faster" and what they refer to.
...they didn't really verify and measure two programs but rather rely on their impression.

I said that the viewer of the "FastStone Image Viewer" is fast and smooth. It can be configured to display the image first and then refine it. And there is no flickering, i.e. the screen does not get black between images. Picasa 3 is even faster.

My point is that with the new implementation of XnView MP we have the opportunity to collect ideas on what features could be improved or added, so basic design decisions can be made. And for that purpose it might be useful to have a look at other image viewers and organisers.
