I can reproduce the Export dialog crash on best fit button under XnViewMP 1.54 (Windows 10 64bit).
You get my crash log file via XnviewMP.
Here are my steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a picture file (picture format and resolution does not change anything)
2. File => export
3. JPEG tab is opened (80% quality, standard, remove metadata, DCT slow, subsampling 2x2, 1x1,1x1)
4. Maximize export window
5. Press refresh preview button
5. Preview window refresh perfectly
6. Press fit to window button
7. Press Export ... button
8. Crash of XnviewMP 1.5.4
