there is nothing to fix here
'Allow only one application interface' works exactly as it should work - opening new tabs and keeping 'Batch convert' on top (modal dialog).
ACDSee does not use single app instance mode.

he would like to reuse single Viewer tab in single app instance, but if app is blocked/busy, eg by modal dialog - create new instance
something like 'Disable Tab mode' setting, but I doubt its worth it

Not really , I want what if open in XnView MP batch convert mode press ctrl + u , then with next open file for viewing will run as separate instance , which will be work so as if simply view images without before run batch convert mode in XnView MP but with use flag "Allow only one application instance" but ignore instance whitch busy and that's why run separate instance )

Or can make so , what by default open images always in one window , not and not run more more more copy application , something like if you open media files in players WinAMP , Windows Media Player , Foobar , and other

At the moment if I not use "Allow only one application instance" this work so , if for example you open c:\Windows\Media\flourish.mid - will open one instance , next you open c:\Windows\Media\onestop.mid and this run another instance of Windows Media Player and so on

I want say , what need do default to open next images in last application instance in which was be open image and not create more and more instance of application
This can cancel use flag Allow only one application instance

Currently without Allow only one application instance files open as in Windows Media Player in Windows 95/98 , one file - one copy of application , I offer make as in Windows Media Player in Windows XP when more files opening in one copy Windows Media Player

I also looked at what I propose , available only in ACDSee Pro , I test IrfanView , Zoner Photo Studio , XnView MP , and only in ACDSee Pro available what I offer ) maybe I wanting simply such a style as I have before )
