B1: Compression is not applied for Cache: 'Add Folder'

In Options>Thumbnail>Cache: if you 'Add Folder', compression setting will not be applied to the cached thumbnails (lossless zip is always used instead).

(original thread is here, but I created a new report as this particular bug makes the new 'Add folder' feature unusable)
