On some video clips, when sliding the cursor from left to right some part of the stream is not shown.
At a point, moving further doesn't display the next image (same image when moving the cursor). Going further to the end we can see the rest of the clip.
In the browser as well as in full screen mode there is no problem to see the clip in full, nor to navigate through using the reading cursor.
I opened the file with VirtualDub to see a report telling there was some errors on the MPEG stream. I wonder if the issue is linked to these errors

A different way to extract movie frames
Yes I understand it could be a challenge to manage those errors. This may add complexity for few case.
So why not allowing a select/copy of the image from the Viewer, as for any picture ?
This could simply reports the problem to the Viewer section where errors are currently well managed. It has other advantages:
- Use of select/copy/Import clipboard, very standard
- fast identification of the best image (view in full size)
- no dependency on file format (mpg, AVI, 3GP, Qtime,...)
- possibility to select all or part of the frame
- looks easy to implement
Currently this is possible through a number of keys: Stop the clip at the desired frame, Alt-PrtScr then Import clipboard then select the frame area, copy, Import clipboard again.
Sometime, there is a need to select/copy/Import clipboard one more time because of the special video area (?) that result in a dark image, through which the frame is displayed (moving Xnview window you see the video is a still place on the PC screen, visible only in this dark area). The second copy is a true copy of the image.
Actualy not a new feature but a complement to "Extract Movie Frame" as the last still allows to save more than one image at a time, on clean and short clips.
