1. If the filename is too long, horizontal scrollbar is shown always, perhaps it could be shorten to pane width automatically - or/and - columns could be manualy changeable - as file list in Details view.

2. Image/Audio/Video info is more important than basic File info IMHO, so I suggest to show this info first, then File info - or/and - if I collapse File info (click the [-] button next to File), save it also if xnview is closed/restarted.

I am not that sure about File vs Image/Audio/Video importance... ...The advantage of having File info first is that layout is more fixed when changing filetype (=easier to spot).

But I support your idea to remember collapsed/expanded state for Info (I would love it for EXIF).

Personally, i would like to be able to position the preview and properties areas above each other. Especially for the 3 vertical columns layout - which i am using when i have 2 monitors at my disposal.
