B6: Crashes when opening / viewing .PSD files

Post by TsunamiZ »

Crashes when opening / viewing .PSD files in browser to fullscreen. Crashes in the browser and fullscreen modes. .PSD files are 2-3.5 MB, multilayers, 3200x2400 px, and made with Photoshop CS2. Doesn't always happen but does happen unpredictably. Please fix.

[1.82.4 didn't have this crash.]

make multiple copies of that .psd and quickly switch between viewing them in browser/fullscreen mode. when the crash occurs is unpredictable.

im not sure if this has to do with .psd files in particular or just several MB files, but it doesn't happen to 500KB .JPG files.

Confirmed with downloaded samples. I'm not entirely certain, but I think this occurs only when ICC is turned off.

Convert those same images to JPG and you will see an identical crash. It also occurs when only highlighting them in browser.

could this crash possibly be due to resizing such hi-res images upon view?

You have the crash only in fullscreen(browser) and switch between them quickly? Even with a fresh ini?

fresh ini, crashes in fullscreen[browser]--not fullscreen[viewer] or viewer
