slide show created gives "Fatal application error"

I just created a slideshow using XnView on my Pocket PC WM2002. It creates the .exe file (from 5 .JPGs) with no errors, but when I double-click on the resulting executable, it says:

Fatal application error
Application test.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

Address: 00f680d0

can someone help? I'd love to be able to make a stand-alone slideshow (so that I only have to click on 1 icon to get the slidehow to run). What's the right way to do this?
