When starting XnView by double-clicking a picture in Windows Explorer, no thumbnails are created for the initial directory when in browser mode.
To reproduce:
1. Double-click a picture in Windows Explorer.
2. You are now in full screen mode. Press <ESC>.
3. You are now in browser mode. Note that no thumbnails are generated for the other pictures in the directory.
PS
This is reproducable in both RCs and the betas.
RC2: Thumbnails aren't created when starting from shell

Configure…

• This doesn't occur here, it works and always worked as it should…
1. Why do you start in Full Screen ?
2. You have to set the displayed items in the Options >> Browser >> File list.
3. Also, check the Options page Browser >> Thumb nails, i.e. to display the 4-in-one thumb nails on the folders…

I have done that.Clo wrote:2. You have to set the displayed items in the Options >> Browser >> File list.
I have this option disabled (I don't show sub-dirs in the browser anyway, just pictures. I use the folder tree to navigate).Clo wrote:3. Also, check the Options page Browser >> Thumb nails, i.e. to display the 4-in-one thumb nails on the folders…
