I've just noticed that in all 1.90 versions the shadow of thumbnails is no longer shown. Did I miss an option change or is this a bug?

32 BPP

• It works only with a 32-bit screen display. I checked here.
- It doesn't with 16-bit, although the box can be ticked still.
- IMHO, this might be indicated on the dialogue itself.
- I've not 24-bit here (embedded video card).

Fits easily…
• A note fits easily in the same control, like shown below :

• Even in French, there is still a remaining room up to the right side of the frame…
• I'ld bet that it fits in German too, just patch the DLL…
• This option might be greyed when the display is not 32 BPP, I guess it isn't very complicated to get that info from Win.
• Talking of that, and waiting for the languages as text, we miss still an English DLL allowing to test such improvements…

Limitation…

• Aside : It's easy to add a note in the DLLs,
but it's worth a suggestion for the embedded English before the final release, I guess…
• However, the box which can be ticked while the screen colour depth is only 16 BPP is close a bug,
since then the function shan't work…

Desesperating---

• Testing again today around this feature, I notice that nothing has been improved till the current 1.96 ß-3

• Not any info about the needed 32 BPP screen for the shadow,
- The box can still be ticked, leading (with a 16 BPP screen) to a ugly white BG and indeed no shadow…
• Another point I notice -and which can be considered as a bug - is that when you tick the “Shadow” box,
the options for the BG colours turn greyed out (normal), but :
a. They are getting also unticked, that's abnormal and useless since they are disabled…
b. Whether you restore the BG colours by removing the nick of the “Shadow” box, they REMAIN unticked,
while they might keep their previous status
