“Grid settings” displays the grid !

Hello !

• Funny , as the title says :

1. Display any image in View

2. View Menu –> Click the Grid Settings entry

• As soon as the small dialogue is displayed, the grid is displayed too !
- This doesn't occur with previous versions, i.e. 1.90A2 I've here too, I checked…
- It happens in French and in English too, so it isn't related to the DLLs…

• However, this could be useful as a kind of preview (why not?)
whether the grid should be removed when the settings dialogue is closed.
- But currently, it's not ! The grid remains…
- This is not a big deal for me, because I've a button in the tool-bar, but such a button is not set by everybody
(regardless that an extra-icon for this matching the current skin is not provided…)
- Besides, using that (partially fixed about the Close thingy) as a preview is visible only
when the current displayed image is large enough…
- If you display a tiny 16² icon for example, you'll see almost nothing…

• Hé, hé ! A nice bone of contention in sight!

• Nothing changed in the 1.90 final…

• The current behaviour is annoying when you are only configuring a fresh installed version,
and that you don't need¦care to get the grid displayed.

• So, for the next fix-up version, I would propose :

- A. Display the grid as a preview when pressing the Apply button (like currently)
- Remove the grid from the screen when pressing the OK button.

AND¦OR :

- B. Set an INI entry to choose the behaviour in the case :

DisplayGridPreview = Flag

0 : Displays the grid still when closed (like currently)

1 : Displays the grid as a preview as soon as the Apply button is pressed, removes it when the OK button is pressed.

2 : Never displays the grid when setting its options.

• This could make everybody happy

Hi !

I wrote

• We get the aforementioned behaviour in 1.90.2, it's convenient, thanks !

• So, fixed up for me !
