Currently the Compare panel appears in a modal window. Please enable a mode that places the Compare panel in a "normal" tab. Also, it would be great if I could have multiple Compares open at the same time. Placing each new Compare in a new tab would enable that.
The tab name could be something like this:
"Compare n images"
...where "n" is the number of images in the comparision.
Or perhaps:
"Compare: n"
...where "n" is a sequential number making the tab name unique.

A new tab, better than dialog? You are perhaps right...JohnFredC wrote:Currently the Compare panel appears in a modal window. Please enable a mode that places the Compare panel in a "normal" tab. Yes, a new tab with the Compare panel inside it. That would allow the comparison to persist while I do something else in XnView.xnview wrote:A new tab, better than dialog? You are perhaps right...
Perhaps it would be a new "type" of tab. XnView would then have Browser, Image, and (hopefully) Compare tabs. Multiple Compare tabs would be incredibly useful for me.
I may have requested this before but without sufficient descriptive clarity.
