Movement of Tab Key Gets Sound from Comptuer

Using Xnview 1.90.2 and Win 98SE, I start with all three panes, tree, directory and preview.

I click a directory in the tree view and on a picture in the directory view to put something in all three panes, tree, directory, and preview.

I click on the directory entry in the tree to move the focus on that entry.

I then key the tab key. I get a ding sound from my computer. I think the sound is saying error. I key the tab key again. The focus moves to the directory.

I key the tab again. The focus returns to the tree.

I key tab again and get another ding. I key tab again and the focus moves to the directory pane.


The cycle repeats indefinitely.

Is this a bug? When I get the sound, am I trying to move the focus to something not on the screen?
