I refer to the available facility of adding sound to slideshow. Presently the program allows for entering a single audio file to the slideshow.
I have selected 60 images for slideshow with a timer setting of 5 secs, and checked play sound with an audio file of 180 secs duration. (most of the music/song files are of lesser duration). For the next 120 seconds after 180 seconds, my slideshow will go on WITHOUT sound. (60 X 5 = 300 - 180 = 120)
Now my request is that the sound file may be set to 'LOOP' within the program automatically till the slideshow is completed.
But my ultimate wish is to allow me to set a play-list (a group of songs, to be played one after another) till the slideshow is completed! The playlist may also have the audio file 'LOOP' feature and the program may remember the last audio played for the current slideshow and start from the next song for the next slideshow.
Thanks to Pierre for XnView.

I agree with Murthy363 and Helmut and Dreamer, and would like to see an easy way to add more music to a slideshow. I like the idea of a loop, and also of being able to select multiple songs, and perhaps of being able to select a folder. However, this has to be handled carefully, because of the problem of the music being longer than the slide show. What should happen if the slides finish first? The music just quits? Fades out?
So I would like to see more capability regarding music with the slideshow, but I think it will be difficult and time-consuming to do it well. But please try!
I've thought some more about this and have an idea: When the user select the time between pictures, and then selects the pictures, the program can calculate the total time of the slideshow. If this time figure was displayed before the slideshow was created, then the user would know how long to make his music file(s). Just a thought....

One simple alternative could be that the music (Playlist) if longer, may stop at the end of the slideshow and if shorter may loop itself.
And still a better alternative could be to calculate the time of display of each picture, so that both end at the same time. For this the program may save each 'music' item along with the duration, so that the duration may be set automatically by the program; of course subject to some minimum and maximum limits set by the program and changeable by the INI settings.
XnView may please spare some thought on this possibility, at one of the later versions, after attending to the priority enhancements.

I support, in Irfanview (very similar program) you got the loop feature for audio, the playlist one is new and I like it very much
I can just imagine all my photo's of me and my family showing in Xnviews slideshow and slow saxaphone jazz music playing in the background, I mean the basic media player is already there in xnview all is needed is to use that and enhance the playback features with what you requested - loop, add audio files for playlist or m3u (playlist file), loop playlist,
haven't played with the slideshow that much on Xnview but I assumed all of this ewas already possible - all up to the illustrious author

But the member requested playlist support (multiple audio files added to a slideshow) also the program could also support .m3u (playlist file) - this file just points to where the audio files are in a directory as the same as adding multiple filesDreamer wrote:Audio loop is already possible, select files, press Ctrl+L > More options > Audio loop.
